Jennifer enjoys the challenge of making science relevant and exciting for her students. Her family’s life revolves around science and her own peer-reviewed research conducted at TAMU continues to garner citations. She has lived in South Africa, England, Venezuela, and throughout the United States. Outside of academics, Jennifer enjoys paddle boarding, beach walking, reading, and writing. She has authored one novel, Trusting for Tomorrow, with plans for more in the future. A self-described weekend pianist, Jennifer spends Saturdays practicing and Sundays accompanying the choir for Beacon Baptist Church where she attends with her husband, Albrey, and daughters, Lauren and Ashley.
